AI Policy
At Eloura Therapy, we use a secure AI scribe tool through JaneApp to help with clinical note-taking. This tool quietly supports your therapist in the background, so they can stay more present with you during session — and spend less time on paperwork afterward.
Your comfort and trust matter most, so here’s what you need to know:
What This Means for You
- Sessions may be recorded for notes — but only with your consent.
- AI does not diagnose or replace your care — your therapist makes every clinical decision.
- You always have a choice — you can opt out of AI scribe use at any time, no questions asked.
- Recordings are short-term — all audio files are automatically and permanently deleted after 3 days.
Interns may also record sessions for supervised training. This is optional and requires your consent.
Why We Use It
- More presence in session — less focus on typing.
- More accurate, complete notes.
- Less after-hours paperwork for your therapist (meaning fresher energy for your care).
Your Consent Matters
We ask every client for informed consent before using AI scribe.
- You’ll see it in your intake forms.
- We’ll also check in verbally at the start of session.
- You can change your mind anytime.
FAQ
Is my session being recorded the whole time?
Not automatically. Recording only begins if your therapist chooses to start it and only with your consent.
Who hears or sees these recordings?
Only your therapist. Recordings are securely stored in JaneApp, used to create notes, and permanently deleted within 3 days.
Will AI ever replace my therapist?
No. AI is simply a note-taking assistant. Your therapist is always responsible for your care and decisions.
Can I say no?
Absolutely. You can decline AI scribe use at any time — your care will not be affected.
